*** About Aurora Borealis: Aurora borealis, also known as the northern lights, is a natural light display predominantly seen in high-latitude regions around the Arctic and Antarctic. It is caused by disturbances in the magnetosphere due to solar wind. These disturbances are most often observed at night and are best viewed in an auroral zone that includes northern parts of Scandinavia, Siberia, Alaska, Canada and Greenland. The shifting colors of the aurora are created by varying types of gas particles colliding with charged particles emitted from the sun's atmosphere, resulting in dazzling displays that can range from green commonly to rare, all-spectrum sequences which include red, yellow, and pink.
